Afghanistan in the Process of Shrinking!
(Part 9)
Separatism:
Not Sharing the Tribes in the Power
Failing to share all the people in political power and make it monopoly to one group or some people, can upset the others or make them consider this matter as an imposition of power on them. In the system of the republic, in which a worthy human being was rarely found and there was a combination of thugs, thieves, smugglers, embezzlers, bribes, kidnappers, and so forth, therefore, there was no place for honest and patriotic servants. That unjust and destructive behavior with the support of the aggressors caused the nation to rise up and overthrow that system in the long run. This uprising was not of a separatism but was carried out only to change the system. In all ethnicities and nationalities, there are worthy, good and patriotic people who need to be present in the composition of the government so that they do not feel themselves left-out, towards the government and do not cause problems.
Tyranny Behaviorism
The cruel, ugly and disgusting behavior of a number of people in the government and not avoiding those problems, can be a factor in separatism and make other people escape from the oppressed officials. The government is like a mirror in which all the righteous people of the nation must notice their present and future and be satisfied with it. The use of coercion is one of the characteristics of the government in certain circumstances and its purpose is to reform corruptions and the corrupted individuals and groups so that others can live peacefully.
Ethnic and Regional Prejudices
Ethnic and regional prejudices of ethnicity, racial and regional discrimination can also be a factor in line with the disintegration of the country. If the people of an area feel hated or rejected despite their racial differences, and this action is ongoing and they know that they have been discriminated against their people and region, this ugly behavour can create a feeling of alienation in them and move the country gradually towards separatism.
The Weakness of the Central Government
The weakness of the central government in any country, if the central government is weak, in addition to the embarrassment and differences, external and internal factors
may lead the country to disintegration. The contemporary history of Afghanistan has
many examples of weak governments in which important parts of the country were
separated from the country due to the weakness of the central government.
Not Accepting the Cultural Differences
In all countries around the world, people with diverse cultures live together in peace, and the governments prepare a suitable ground to preserve their cultures. The descent religion of Islam also called on Muslims to respect the culture of others. In our country, the people of Hindus live, and before the Revolution of 1978, the Jewish people also lived in big cities of Afghanistan, and the government of that time protected them and their culture. According to the Islamic Religion guidance, the Islamic government is obliged to support them. During the revolution, when they saw their lives and property in danger, most of the people who had diverse cultures left the country, except a few. This was the first disintegration of the country’s cultural diversity after 1357. The population of the Hindus and Sikhs of the country was oppressed by usurpers and oppressors and was close; leave the country like the Jews. But with the support of the Islamic State, they are still part of our compatriots who currently consider their lives, property and culture safe. Our Shiite brothers are better than ever in terms of security and comfort, and they can hold their religious ceremonies in their places.
The Unfair Distribution of the Natural Resources
The relationship between the central government and some people living within borders of a country is due to the escalation dispute over the division of natural resources which exist in those areas and they want to separate themselves from the central government and this give them the chance of separation. Because these resources are widely involved in the national economy; But at the same time, they bear a lot of burden from the central government, which negatively affects that region. In this regard, we can mention the region of Catalonia in Spain, which is one of the richest regions in comparison with the poor southern regions, and it also plays an important role in the Spanish economy, but also bears the burden of Spanish economic crises. The Muslim and kind people of Afghanistan who naturally have descent culture, never been the witness of interference of the people from well-income provinces on the low-income ones. The reason for the backwardness of the third and low-income provinces was the unfair treatment of the governments, not the heroic and devoted nation of our country.
Freeing from Cultural Domination
Freedom from cultural domination in many countries of the world may be due to discrimination, but the general public of our beloved country has one religion and culture and respects the religions of minorities. This situation has brought our nation together in all of hardship situations, especially after the aggression of Britain, Russia and the United States, and got them to be diligent in preserving their culture and territorial integrity. All our nation has one culture and no one feels cultural domination
over their communities. In the process of all failed aggressions of foreigners, our nation, brightly realized the imposition of cultural domination of others, consequently they revolted and expelled the invaders from the homeland and returned the country to its original Afghan culture.
The Inappropriate Growth of the Ethnic Groups
This matter was very evident in the success of Kurdish Pishmargeh forces against ISIS to recapture many Iraqi territories by participating in the battlefield. In addition, it led to the influence of these forces in large areas in Kirkuk, some areas of Ninawa and Diyala provinces, and this also led to the strengthening the position of the Kurdistan region in the demand for separation. Since it became clear that they were not only able to protect themselves, but also effectively and efficiently participated in the fight against ISIS and has been effective in maintaining Iraq’s territorial integrity, as well as the trust of many international and regional powers that supported them.
This issue is somewhat similar to the growth of the Council of Supervisors and the Northern Alliance in the government of Burhan Uddin Rabbani, whose leadership was far more powerful than the government as a whole. The council had no authority. The oppressive and totalitarian behavior of this group at that time led the country to disintegration.
