The 26th of Dalw, 1367 (February 15th, 1989)
In the winter of 1979, the forces of the former Soviet Union occupied Afghanistan and made one of the darkest era and periods in the history of this country. The Soviet Union occupied Afghanistan with aim of expanding the influence of communism and maintaining the Soviet Union figurehead government in Afghanistan. The Soviet Union invaded and occupied Afghanistan and extirpated Afghanistan’s freedom and independency.
The Soviet Union by invasion Afghanistan, began their atrocities and crimes against desperate and helpless people. The Soviet Union troops bombardment tyrannically the cities, districts, villages and killed thousands of innocent people. But people of Afghanistan, instead of surrendering to the tyranny occupiers, based on their sacred beliefs and by the faith in almighty Allah, announced Jihad against the brutal occupiers and fought against the Superpower of the East. And ultimately, after years of Holy Jihad and resistance, Afghan Muslim people, by the favor of the Almighty Allah, were able to defeat the Soviet Union and mad her withdraw its forces from Afghanistan on 15 of February, 1989.
