Parties and Their Effects Towards Disintegration
The first Afghanistan’s parties and movements were nationalist, and the communist party’s period were more dependent on the ideology of Marxism and Ethnicity, the jihadi parties were formed during the Soviet invasion and later on, during the conflicts within the Mujahidin group who were dependent on religions and ethnicity. By considering all three types of parties, the role of ethnicity and ethnic nationalism was prominent and those movements were never able to go beyond the ethnic circle and began to form a powerful trans-ethnic structure.
During the American occupation and the Republican System, Party structures expanded to such an extent that the number of parties registered in the Ministry of Justice reached 105 parties that all the country’s parties, focused on selling votes to incompetent parliamentarians or the presidency, and they were always seeking favors from their foreign masters and country’s ministries.
Afghan parties did not bring the slightest benefit for our nation since they appeared until they perished, and they always caused pain and problems for the nation. The first parties formed were either from the communist left parties or they had some communist members in their composition that almost created the ground for the massacre of the nation and disrespected the culture and religion of this nation, and this did not satisfy them and they even encouraged their masters to invade the country’s territory. Those corrupted and destructive parties, which were supposed to push the country towards progress and prosperity, dragged it towards regression. Despite their intellectual problems, the parties worked to deepen political divisions between groups to the point of eradicating all competitors and even members of the nation who were in conflict with their ideas. Before the emergence of imported parties, the issue of ethnicity was not much of important and did not have a special value for our people. Evil parties caused disunity and division amongst our deprived and oppressed people; To the extent that in the elections full of fraud, they made the ethnic, political and regional issues much more complicated in order to secure their position and get more interests out of troubled water.
Cultural and political people were trying to create disunity among our people by abusing the nation’s sentiments and creating deliberate deviations such as raising historical issues, changing the name of the country, providing a false map of the country’s ethnic groups or even overstating the sovereignty of certain ethnic groups. The elites of the political parties, who were thirst of power, abused people’s emotions as an element to climb the ladder of power. Since the beginning of the establishment of the parties, the majority of them have resorted to the enemies of the homeland for financing and gaining power.
The first parties formed in Afghanistan were the result of the establishment of a Headquarter for the Soviet Union, which caused bloody issues throughout the country, including downfall of Sardar Mohammad Daud’s government, immigration, disabling and massacring of millions people, the destruction of economic, paralyzing social and historical infrastructure, moreover, the cause of Soviet aggression and hypocrisy in the country. Some of the parties which were discussed earlier did not only think of dividing the country but also wanted to sell the whole country to the Soviet Union. At the time, the jihadi leaders by imitating their internal partners, and receiving consultation and support from their foreign maters, resorted and solicited Pakistan and Iran to stablish political parties within those countries; Parties which did nothing except creating hypocrisy, hatred, bloodshed and destruction for the nation. Jihadi totalitarian parties, pushed the country towards division by igniting the civil war, till the time which the Islamic Emirate retook the power and saved the country from division and deadly differences.
