The Connection Between Faith and Patriotism

Love for one’s homeland is the hidden feeling that leads us to a deep attachment to it and we feel that we are part of it, no matter how far we are away from it. Patriotism is an inherent and inner feeling that grows in hearts, as a person gets older and becomes stronger, that sentiment gets stronger as well. Our excessive feeling results from the warmth and coldness of the land from whose soil we were created and on its hills and slopes we grew up, makes us dependent on it, no matter how many diverse countries we visit and love, this is a love which has been passed down from our ancestors to our grandfathers, then to fathers and finally to us. Ultimately, this love has been placed in our hearts and continues to grow.

In other words, love for one’s homeland is in the nature and essence of a mankind, in which his heart beats and his blood flows for, even if the homeland is a sandy desert or is exposed to damage, disaster and war, or even if a person leaves his homeland; but he still has an emotional attachment to it. Out of necessity, passion and longing for it remains in the soul and conscience of individuals; because it is the place where he was born, grew up and got matured.

Homeland contains unforgettable memories for its people of different ages naming children, parents, grandparents and all members of the families. Homeland is a symbol of the mother and all the people living in it have a set of duties for it. All patriots are born in it and grow up, educate and become friends in its lap. They give their lives to defend the homeland and have many bitter and sweet memories of it.  All members of a society feel proud of every inch of their land and strive to preserve its cultural heritage.
