Separatism and Expansionism in the 21st Century
The slogan of the British Empire and other European colonialists, throughout history has been, “Divide and Rule.” This slogan has been an essential element in the policy of small and resources-free European countries for the possession of very large and populous nations and full of natural resources. Religious, sectarian, regional, racial, tribal, and other natural and intellectual differences were all political excuses to create dilemma amongst people in order to exploit them as well as plundering their natural resources. This is how the conditions were created for the Colonial Empires to kill the people and then defeat and occupy the intended country.
In recent decades, the United States, the Eldest Partner of Britain, has become the great leader for the strategy (Divide and Rule). This capitalist country helps the regional leaders to eliminate any independent national government or any national government which is hostile to the US global development. The United States uses two methods in reaching the factor of expansionism: one is a direct military strike and the other is provoking and igniting the flames of separatist movements, which can also lead to a military confrontation.
Expansionism in the present century, has left extensive experiences of the two aforesaid methods. firstly, (helping separatists and secondly, direct or indirect attack) in many countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Tibet, Bolivia, Venezuela, Somalia, Sudan, Myanmar and Palestine. In any country where the United States cannot have a dependent regime of its own, it supports the corruptors, racist and regional forces with huge financial aid to empower the separatist organizations, or either puts pressure on the intended governments by international organizations. In the meantime, the independent countries that oppose US hegemony, are disregarded, they will be condemned to human rights violations, war crimes, and so forth. Separatism, creates an artificial and dependent regime that is
always in conflict with the central government. And this is where the excuse is made and Washington propaganda machine is activated and accuses the independent central government for violating human rights and it stats to make propaganda against those countries worldwide. The Western propaganda machine and media even defend the expulsion and killing of hundreds of thousands of racial minorities by coercive governments, such as Israel.
Hitler, justified the aggression against Czechoslovakia in the name of defending the Separatists of Sudentland; Just like the US President’s justification for the division of Iraq under the title of defending the Kurds. The US invaded Afghanistan under the pretext of al-Qaeda and aided the evil and corrupted groups to form a useless mixed government, after which the United States’ purpose disclosed, it made the plan to divide Afghanistan.
What is said about separatism, needs to be fully explained. One abstract principle is the “Right to Decide for Oneself” which must be defined exactly who this “self” is? In other words, it must be clarified what political force makes it (self)and what political purposes it does have.
In separatism, the concept of “Independent Governments” does not mean the real independence. In the most independent status, the decomposed government in the transition phase goes from one type of dependency to a more severe one. What is called the “decision making for yourself” is one of the most meaningless talks. The libertine individuals, in an attempt to divide an independent country, ready to flatter themselves before their owners, to encourage the oppressed and unaware people of the behind-the-scenes plans to dismember their homeland in order to serve the great powers. There is no such a thing as the “Real Self,” and it is just an attempt to destroy and bury a nation with the goals of the region and the trans-region. The claim of separatism, in addition to its political, social and historical notoriety, it inflicts severely the people of both sides and make them vastly suffer.
