The Un-Successful Plan to Partition Afghanistan

 (Part 28)

Weak Power and its Effects  on Disintegration

The majority of the rulers of this country have been caught in the vortex of repeating the wrongdoings of their ancestors for the last two hundred years, and always revolve around themselves like a circle; invasion after invasion, failure after failure. In the last fifty years, the oppressed people have hardly ever been at peace for five consecutive years, nor have tasted the sweetness of comfort and well-being. Due to many calamities, a strong, heavy and strange belief has been created among the people which says “Every Joy Proceeds a Grief.” “this proverb is strongly believed, the reasons for their belief is the occurrence of permanent tragic events.” In simple language the proverb means, the nation has gone through loads and loads of tragic experiences, and long-term wars that the majority of the people believe in the truth of the above proverb. Due to the negative of wars and other challenges in the society, they think that happiness is wrong and forbidden for them, and they should always be sad and frustrated so as not to suffer further much. In fact, the above proverb must be rephrased like this” Every Grief Proceeds a Joy” The main cause of sorrow for the oppressed Afghan nation has been the weak and fragile governments that has faded the happiness away from the faces of the nation and put them in the shadow of constant sorrows and tragedies.

The intermittent and different weaknesses in governments and rulers had caused the people to lose their trust in the governments and those matters were the factors of disintegration for the major parts of our country in modern times. The weakness of the officials can be observed when the existing government does not have any power, as a result, the first situation of dual sovereignty (the un-stable Regime and the Opposition) and then the collapse of the apparent-stabled government will occur. A weak government is strongly likely to be invaded by foreign aggressors and domestic opponents. The sign of a failed government is a not having ability to perform the usual functions of a typical government, such as monopoly, the use of legitimate coercion (power) to maintain stability and security, to create economic growth, and to provide public services to its citizens. The stability of political regimes depends on the strength of their powerful pillars, which means their (Legitimacy, Ideology, Efficiency, Satisfying Public Interests, Providing the Private Sectors Needs, Domination and Coercion).

It worth mentioning that the existence of a crisis in each of the aforesaid elements may lead to internal changes or decrease of legitimacy, inefficiency, perishing social bases, and a complete collapse of the political system. Generally, if there is a weakness of social support, repression and the application of domination in the government, the probability to collapse the system increases. The collapse of the political system of countries get tougher when the government is confronted with the organized opposition forces with sturdy ideology, leadership and the political mobilized capabilities. A clear example of this was the dilapidated System of the Republic against the organized opposition with Islamic ideology and capable leadership and supportive nation, which was able to bring the aggressors and their mercenaries down from power and establish the Rule of Islamic and Afghan justice in a short time.
