The Continuation of the Matter:
Patriotism is Not a Cause for Division
In order to eliminate racial or color prejudice, the Prophet (may God, the Almighty bless him and grant him peace) first tried to solve differences and conflict between Aws and Khazraj tribes, which had been made by the Jews and the leader of the hypocrites, Abdullah ibn Ubay, and their plan was almost about to come to reality. The Prophet(saw) considered fanatical behavior to be incompatible with religion. Reviving the attachment to Islamic brotherhood is one of the most important cases in which the Western Europe has realized the value of this unity and solidarity and has succeeded in creating the European Union. But unfortunately, Islamic states have not yet realized this reality; based on the Organization of the Islamic Conference performance, our brotherhood is nothing more than ink on a piece of paper.
Belonging to the homeland is completely acceptable and a legitimate notion within the framework of preserving national identity and defending the homeland; moreover, it is obligatory for all Muslims to make an effort to cooperate and sympathize with other Islamic countries for the purpose of unifying the Ummah. We Muslims are a nation with historical records and a global mission, in case the youth realize this fact that we have a history and mission and our duty is to save humanity; then they will definitely use all their intellectual and physical strength to serve their homeland, the nations, and even the whole world. The truth is that we have the ability to create a union of Islamic countries, stronger and more solid than others in our religious and national texts, while maintaining and protecting our current borders.
The importance of the role of religious and political institutions in developing the spirit of belonging to the Islamic nation is important. Those institutions can give their nations the right direction and guidelines. The Muslims’ distance from unity and integrity, which is called decadence, has led to the emergence and spread of extremist groups that have caused much pain and suffering in the Islamic and global community.
