The Effects of Islamic Religion on Maintaining the Territorial Integrity
(Part 47)
The Continuation of the Matter:
Islamic Ethics
The goal of the Selection (Besa’t) of the Holy Prophet of Islam (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) has been to achieve and complete the virtues of Islamic morality for the people of the world. The verses of the Holy Quran and the Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are full of moral issues in various individual and social matters. The religion of Islam includes complete and faithful morality in all areas, family issues, political matters, military subjects, economic, and other fields. The following is just one example of Islamic ethics which is effective in protecting the Islamic land.
Courage, as one of the physical virtues, qualities and admirable character, is the strength of the heart in the face of confrontation with enemies and bearing difficulties afterwards, which is also interpreted as courage and bravery. Scholars of ethics have defined the phrase of (courage) as endurance and moderation of the power of anger, and they have considered endurance and moderation to be easily subject to the command of reason and from deviation to both extremes; It means that one should be away from recklessness, fearlessness and extravagance. (Danesh Pajouh 1379, 1510)
Courage is an important virtue, in such a way that the Holy Qur’an considered it the basis of divine rule and made it a subject of special love and care:
And their Prophet said to them: ‘Allah has appointed for you Talut (Saul) as a king.’ They said: ‘How can he reign over us, whereas we have greater right than him to rule, and he has also not been granted affluence?’ (The Prophet) said: ‘Surely, Allah has chosen him above you, and has given him more affluent knowledge and vigour; and Allah (entrusts) with His kingdom whom He pleases and Allah is Infinite, All-Knowing.’
And he says:
O believers! Whoever of you turns away from his Din (Religion), Allah will soon bring (in their place) a people He will (Himself) love and who will love Him. They will be kind (and humble) towards the believers (but) strict (and firm) towards the disbelievers. They will toil (very hard) in the way of Allah and will never fear any reproaches of the reproves. This (constructive character) is the grace of Allah which He grants whom He wills, and Allah is Infinite, All-Knowing.
